Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter today! I spent tons of time with my family, and I honestly had the best break from classes for a few days ever.

My sister Kelly just moved here from GA, so she had Nathan and I over for dinner after I got off work yesterday, and my brother and his fiance happened to be there too and then my sister Angie and the gang showed up and we were there forever. I can almost count on my fingers the amount of times that many of my siblings have been together in the last 5 years and it's been mostly lately. I've never gotten to have that kind of relationship with them before and I'm so happy to get to. If only Tracy would move too haha.

Then today I went to sunrise service and then helped Mom get stuff ready. Then about 30000 people came over, and there were all related to me, mostly my siblings and their children. We had a very snowy Easter egg hunt, then Nathan and I went to his family's in Jane Lew for more Easter shtuff. It was such a great day to just do nothing and see family and then come back and relax.

And my favorite part of the Bible (and of Christianity in general) is how everything that happened with Jesus coming and dying on the cross, was all pre-planned. It was even recorded hundreds of years before He came. And then it was carried out perfectly, and then we have Easter. That's the one day that seperates Christianity from every other religion in the world, because our leader is not dead, and we aren't ever going to be either. As my uncle said during our prayer today, "It isn't where we're alive, it's that we always will be and will be together." That was so amazing to me..to be in a family where people don't say "I'm a Christian because I go to church" or "I was raised in church" because that's so easy to think, but I looked around at everyone there and knew they actually all had relationships with God, and I won't ever have to be away from them, Nathan and my future family included. What a feeling. Happy, Happy Easter!
